Re-married woman with young son troubled by ex-husband violent child access

Number of View: 232 Hi Gilbert I am already divorced and have care and control of my child. We share joint custody with my ex-husband having access at least 3 times/week. Working mum considering divorce due to missing husband at home

Number of View: 227 Dear Gilbert I am a working mother of two children. My husband has detached himself from the family. He does not come back home after he knocks off work and he doesn’t talk to anyone in the family even when he comes back. During weekends, we do not see him either as he goes out early in the morning and only comes late at night when everyone is asleep. This situation has been going on for quite a while now. It is an extremely unhappy and unhealthy way of living, especially for the children, and I want to seek a divorce to end the marriage. Please advise how do I go about initiating a divorce and if there are any divorce law firms you can recommend. Thank you. Jenny

Man married for 21 years facing eventual divorce soon and feeling depressed

Number of View: 270 Hi Gilbert, I recently chance upon your website and read your Divorce Journal. It really struck a chord with me because my wife has filed for divorce after 21 years of marriage. 21 years… it is really heart-wrenching for me. After going through the stage of denial and trying whatever humanly possible to salvage this marriage, I have finally resigned to the eventuality and plan to sign my divorce papers soon. I am not sure how your 5-week support group sessions could help to get me out of this darkest period of my once charmed life … but I guess I would have to explore whatever avenues there are out there so that I can get back on my feet and move on as soon as possible. I am keen on the 5-week group sessions but I can only join in March… would you please let me know the scheduled dates for the next 5-week sessions in the next quarter? Hope to hear from you soon. Alan
