Broke, unemployed and homeless woman trapped in a unhappy marriage

Number of View: 500 Hello Gilbert, I’ve rewritten this email a few times now. I don’t really know what to say. I understand that my husband doesn’t want to have anything to do with me any more. I’m broke, unemployed and homeless. And unhealthy. I have some good days and some bad days. I’m lonely. I miss the intimacy of sex and spooning. On good days I plan for the future. I look at job postings but I rarely send out resumes. I contact attractive boys for a romp, then postpone meeting them. I make plans to learn the guitar, yoga, meditate, paint, but almost never carry them out. On bad days I cry alone in my room, or spend hours reading fiction and chain smoking. I’m afraid for the future. He appears to be very vindictive. I just want to get away from him as fast as I can. Everything seems so complicated. I’m unfortunately married under the Muslim law. Reading about how to proceed with the divorce makes it sound so impossible to do it unless he agrees to it too. Neither of us are really practising Muslims either. Mother of two kids contemplating divorce and worried about custody and maintenance

Number of View: 417 Dear Gilbert, My husband is continuously having affair and fun for the past few years. I keep acting blur though sometimes I did flare up and hurt each other with words. I have two kids, boy – 8 and girl – 11 years. Finally he wanted out and ask me to agree to the divorce with his conditions. He mentioned that since I need to work full time, the kids can stay at his place with his mum till I finished work and pick them up. I said I will resign and find a job with shorter hours. Is there anyway I can get sole custody for my son? I only have my kids as my pillar. He earns more than me, a high flyer. I will have to move out from this comfort zone with no saving as I have been working part time and stay at home most of the time.
