Penniless ex-husband seeking downward variation of $6000/month maintenance for ex-wife on High Court case

Number of View: 243 Hi Gilbert I am glad I found this forum. God bless you for doing this noble job. I got divorced in Singapore last year. My case went to the High Court because my assets were slightly over the prescribed limit. As per the court order most of my cash has been handed over to my wife. I am now left with only my CPF and a few shares. (1) I have a  son who started his university education overseas in 2014. The court order made an assumption that his education expenses would be SGD 50,000 per year and hence took SGD200,000 out from the assets as a provision for his expenses. In the past, we bought assets overseas with my savings in her name. The assets are valued over a million Singapore dollar. She didn’t disclose any of those assets in her application for maintenance. I did tell the court that she is not disclosing her assets to the court. The original papers of the assets are …
