Number of View: 212 We have put up a questionaire on the difficult  divorce proceedings here as many people who want to end their marriage are finding it a hassle to do so with many cumbersome court-heavy procedures. The respondent is a 40-something professional who is going through a bitter divorce case and it is still on-going. 1. Can you tell us abit about yourself Jack  e.g. your current marital state and some family background? Jack: Divorced with 2 schooling daughters. 2. Do you think that it’s difficult to get a divorce in Singapore? Why so? Jack: Many having difficulty to ‘cough out’ the initial $3K to $5K legal fees. Hence hold on to the marriage. Which is good in a sense if have children. However, normally for adultery cases where ‘new Boyfriend’ may help to pay this costs for the woman. 3.
